Lent Bumps, Lent Term 2009re As Close As It Got by BJ - Mon 2nd Mar 2009, 11:37pm Fletch's excuse for why he never told Emma that Downing had closed was that he 'could see from their catches and body positions that they couldn't sustain it'. I was sceptical until I saw this photo. Good effort from Downing, though - I was scared watching it at the time! (1 comment...)

I haven't been to Cam for ages so admittedly it may have happened some time ago... :) Still, it reminds me of what a great effort it was to get it painted in the first place. Perhaps it's time for an account of the FATASS project on a member's only part of the website? (7 comments...)

Fairbairns Dinner, Mich Term 1999re Ready for dinner! by Simon - Sat 8th Mar 2008, 3:34pm This had never been done before and we weren't sure it would work. Luckily we found a great caterer who was a big help and was able to set up a kitchen in the weights room and one of the boat bays. We combined it with the boat naming earlier the same day and thus subsidised the costs. Every part of the boathouse and the entire fleet was cleaned, the decorations went up (NB the attempts to make the lights blue and gold), and on the previous Saturday Sophie and I had filled her car with alcohol from a French supermarket. I was so chuffed to walk into the boathouse and find it looking like this.

Cardinal's Regatta, Lent Term 1999re Testing the smokescreen before setting off by Simon - Mon 3rd Mar 2008, 11:39pm It was too windy in the reach to light the smoke bombs, so we never used them in anger. And the fumes weren't exactly healthy either. Despite the precaution of a collander from Whewell's Court, we still slightly melted the canvas of the boat.

Lent Bumps, Lent Term 2008re This is the only photo I got of them because they threw their kit all over the tow path, which took me ages to pick up, and then my bag wasn't big enough so I kept dropping Pedro's pissing shoes by Dan - Thu 28th Feb 2008, 6:11pm Why don't people tell me when I need a shave?
Lent Bumps, Lent Term 2008re What was behind M1 was more exciting by Dan - Thu 28th Feb 2008, 6:08pm The problem with the white top is that overly fast arms away are clearly visible... not that I can comment on technique - my hands are possibly even lower than Coker's.

Lent Bumps, Lent Term 2007re In the gloom and gale... by Martin P - Thu 1st Mar 2007, 11:11am Hello everyone. Just to say that you can now add comments on pictures, as you can see. Also to apologise for this dreadful picture - as you can see my camera didn't like the fact that it was quite dark and hurtling towards the river on my bike at the time... but you can kind of see Caius conceding! :-) If anyone has better ones (I noticed a couple of fat people infront of me also taking pictures whilst charging along the towpath!) please post them! As usual, Bryn and I need to hear of anything that doesn't work with this new feature, or suggestions for improvements. This has been hacked together pretty quickly, so there will be problems with it... The easiest way to add comments is to click the small little message board icon just under each picture in the gallery on the right hand side. (1 comment...) |
