All things considered, is a radio program.

Just discovered that it allowed you to select all the options - despite them being radio buttons. Ooops. I think I've fixed it - but can't really believe that in 20 weeks no-one (let alone me) has ever noticed it!

btw, all my Lents photos are up, hope folks like them. Sorry to the 3rd VIII for only having 1 - its the 4th VIIIs fault for asking me to push them out ;-) Some dinner & bop pics to follow at some point.

Where's the option of 'The shitty Isis, which is so small you have to do millions and millions of loops per outing'?

We should definitely have the Cap d'Agde on here - great river to row on (Herault) and near the beach!

Note how the top 2 preferred options are the ones we've never taken. The grass is always greener...

And also imagine just how many oarsmen, boats and vehicles would be lost in the catastrophic series of disasters that would accompany any actual attempt to take a squad to "Southern Europe"...

Actually, don't.

You should really come and try a nice big Scottish loch, complete with ice, snow, mountains, monsters etc.

Actually, Martin, we DID do that back in 1992 with the FaT Banyoles trip, and, amazingly, it was disaster-free. Okay, it was a bit cold and boring, and not an idyllic mega-trip, but we had few probs, despite Hopkins being given the boats to drive all the way over the Pyrenees.

It's my personal theory that there is an inverse relationship between distance from Cambridge and disaster, empirically speaking (ie what has actually occurred over history). It stands to reason. The potential for disaster at distance is obvious, so one plans for it and mitigates against. I appreciate that the Head of the Charles monkeys provide an exception, but I'd stand by this....

The 2nd Lent VIII provided some very nice data in support of the theory... trashing BP2 as they did within about 2 yards of the boathouse.

The trip to Cornwall should be a useful test case... espeicially with captain Dan making his towing debut!

Is this anything to do with Valenciennes Regatta (pic in Gallery that I put under May Term 1991)

Where's the new poll? Surely it should be the HoRR one, although I think we need to rephrase the result options to 50 - 100, 101 - 150, 151 - 200 etc.
