To be fair, only the occupants of the shit hire car were taken in by this terrible song, hence its notable absence from the video diary

Honestly I try and introduce some artsy intellectual discourse to the message board and you all bring it back to rowing and/or physics. I mean I know it's the boat club message board and it's Trinity but afford me some diversity please.

Honestly, I know that you're all upset that the girls didn't come with you but surely there was some carnage? Those of us who have to stay in and work need something to keep us going you know. If there really isn't any gossip then I suggest you all redeem yourselves sharpish and make some up.

by the peace has been shattered - Wed 12th Dec 2001, 9:48pm
Not a rowing story, but I found it amusing:

A film crew arrived in Burrell's yesterday (don't know what they're filming, but it looks amateur-ish). They're living in my block, and are generally being annoying. In particular, they are using a smoke machine in one of the rooms in the bottom of Butler House.

Today, they set the fire alarm off.

Twice.

The first time, everybody was gathered outside. Suddenly, one of them asked (in a genuinely suprised voice): "Was that us?!?"

The second time, whilst most people were leaving the building, I noticed one of them filming the smoke alarm. He was still filming when we re-enetered a few minutes later.

They also asked the porter (who was already pretty annoyed) to turn off the fire alarm for all of Butler House. He was not impressed...

Don't tell me - you're going to have all the records on vinyl, and then play two at once and get their beats to match and then slowly switch from one to another. Or is that too traditional?
