And what initiated this... some of my pictures are up now - as far as W2. Shocked quite how small they look once posted. W1, M1 & M2 to follow later this week.... some really good ones coming!!

And M6, M5 and W3 - please accept my apologies for no pictures of you from me. Simply didn't make it to Cambridge in time with the additional baggage of a wife in tow!

The 'preview' photos could be bigger I guess. How about a tagging option like on facebook?

I don't think that's the only criterion. Personally I like the current size.
But then having an option of a full-screen slide show would be nice...

It definitely needs to allow people to tag and detag themselves. Long overdue.

Are you sure? I still really like the little preview thumbnail things.

So do I. Let's you scroll through and find the right picture easily. Please keep it.

Also, I note with dismay the large proportion of pictures which now bypass this website completely and are only available on Facebook, and have been campaigning for some time to get people to continue to upload them here (instead/as well). Facebook won't be around forever....

Could we get the website to log on to facebook and harvest any pictures tagged with boat club members? Perhaps the account of Michael Parker could be put to good use....

I'm not sure Michael would like us abusing his account like that, so perhaps we could just ask him to upload them here?

I seem to remember somebody mentioning the possibility of writing a facebook application which could transer boatie photos from facebook to FaT, or at least to some other group file which could then more easily be moved to the website. Whether this is feasible or not i'm not sure...

I've had a look at the Facebook APIs and it should be possible to write an app that takes photos from Facebook and adds them to the website. The photos will be of fairly low quality though.
