A rather unfortunate misspelling. Oops.

My strategy is to put a thermometer in my office and then complain about each new daily high it reaches.

33.5 deg C last week in case you were wondering.

Air conditioning is a waste of energy. Just put up with the heat, stop whinging about it, and get used to it.

We weren't, sorry. But to whom do you complain, and does it achieve anything?

Beats the tube for sure, I've had to use public transport once in the last two weeks, and ended up having to walk home from Green Park

To anyone who'll listen (and some who won't). It doesn't cool me down, but it does make me feel better to share the pain a little. They have now started refurbishing the toilets directly above my office so I have extra loud drilling noise going on all day (for the next four weeks) as well. Time to start "working from home" I feel.

How disappointing no women have gone for this option...

I too am sitting in the irresponsible lunacy of a cool air conditioned office... but would opt for the working at home option in weather like this if possible. Perfect for feeling relaxed even when you've work to do.
