Ghent Student Regatta
Thu 10th April
250m side by side in the Portus Ganda, followed by holding it up hard - round robin followed by a final
This invitational event was organised by Ghent University to celebrate 125 years of rowing in Ghent. A Ghent University crew was formed specially for the occasion and crews were invited from Oxford, Cambridge and Leiden University (Netherlands).

1st men's VIII (Invitational VIIIs): Raced 4 rounds: lost to Ghent University by half a length in the final

Fairbairn Junior Sculls
Mon 21st - Wed 23rd April
A 2000m knock-out regatta in the 'chasing' format for single sculls

TDC in his single scull: Beat Cusdin (Pembroke) by 8 seconds in the heats and scratched in the quarter finals
PWF in his single scull: Lost to Stutt (Girton/Goldie) by 18s in the quarter finals

Bushe-Fox Freshman's sculls
Mon 21st - Wed 23rd April
A 2000m knock-out regatta in the 'chasing' format for single sculls, for 'men in their first year of residence'.

PWF in his single scull: Lost to Hale (Pembroke) by 17s in the semi finals

Foster Fairbairn Pairs
Mon 21st - Wed 23rd April
A 2000m knock-out regatta for coxless pairs as part of the Small Boats Regatta - raced in the 'chasing' format (boats starting 100 yards apart) from the posts before the motorway bridge to those by the pink house in the Reach.
The small boats races generally attract only a small number of entries - and by regularly entering crews we have had many successes in recent years.

Laffan/Cunha (Men's 2-): Raced 3 rounds: lost to Fletcher/Preiss several times over in the final
Gruessing/Dunleavy (Men's 2-): lost to Fletcher/Preiss in the 2nd round
Coxless pairs, FaT nth pair (Men's 2-): Lost to Fletcher/Preiss by 20s in the 1st round
Fletcher/Preiss (Men's 2-): Raced 3 rounds: Beat Laffan/Cunha over the first half of the course. After a brief rest beat Garrod/Cunha over the second half in the final
The Comedy Pair (Men's 2-): Lost to a tree stump by a blade width in the quarter finals

Magdalene Silver Pairs
Mon 21st - Wed 23rd April
A 2000m knock-out regatta for coxless pairs in the chasing format.
The Magdalene Silver Pairs is the more prestigious of the two pairs events.

Coxless pairs, "Immense" pair (Men's 2-): Lost to Hopper/O'Connor by 13s in the quarter finals
Gjorgjieva/Bates (Women's 2-): Lost by quite a lot in the semi finals

Lowe Double Sculls
Mon 21st - Wed 23rd April
Held over the 2km course from Little Bridge to the posts downstream of the railway bridge. Part of the small boats regatta. Open to mens, womens and mixed crews.

Double sculls (Women's 2x): Lost spectacularly to Borchers/Simpson in the final
Double sculls (Men's 2x): Lost to Morris/Hopper by 2 seconds in the semi finals

Colquhouns
Tue 22nd April
2km sculling race run by LMBC open to anyone in the university.
The premier university sculling event.

TDC in his single scull (Open 1x): Lost to Morris (Jesus) in the quarter finals

Nottingham City Regatta
Sat 26th April
A high profile 2000m multilane regatta at the National Watersports centre in Nottingham
Four or five Cambridge boat clubs generally travel to Nottingham to experience multilane racing. Racing is held on two separate days.

1st men's VIII (Senior3 VIII): 2nd in the semi finals and went home in the final

Radegund Mile Head Race
Sun 27th April
Head race from the Plough to Two Tees boat shed organised by the St. Radegund Boat Club.
A minor headrace right at the start of term.

Head of the Cam
Sat 3rd May
A timed headrace on the Cam for college and town crews
Useful early term race practice and the first hint of form for the May Bumps.

Wallingford Regatta
Sun 4th May
Prestigious multilane regatta over 2000m.
Now held at Dorney, a very popular event with crews from all round the country.

1st men's VIII (S3 VIIIs): 3rd in the heats
Light IV (S2 IV-s): 2nd in the heats and 6th in the final

Cambridge Head-2-Head
Sun 11th May
A timed headrace in two parts, length 2x2600m
Early term race practice for many college crews.

FaT vs. BPBC Golf Challenge
Sat 17th May
A golf match held at Cambridge Lakes pitch & putt, between Black Prince and First & Third.
The third annual BPBC vs. FaT golf match - past versus current club members. The format is matchplay rounds of fourballs, foursomes and singles, with each match won counting as a point for the team total.

BPBC golf team: Won, 8 to 1

Champion of the Thames Eights Head
Sun 18th May
A Head race for eights from the Plough Pub to the Penny Ferry.
A fun head race with prizes for best bumps start, best line round Ditton - as well as for finish position.

Cambridge 99's Regatta
Sun 25th May
A side by side knock out regatta along the reach over 1000m
A fun summer regatta for college VIIIs. Unfortunately not all that many crews are able to enter, though, because of exam pressures!

"Henley" VIII (1st division): Lost to LMBC in the semi finals and Lost to Clare in the plate final

May Bumps Getting-on Race
Fri 6th June
The 2000m qualifying race for the May Bumps
Entries in the bumps without positions in the finishing order of the May bumps last year, and up to 10 crews at the bottom of the last divisions, have to compete over a head race to "get on" to the bumps.

The famous Cambridge University May Bumps on the River Cam
The highlight of the college rowing calendar involving a total of over 1500 students - with 81 competitors from Trinity

Marlow Regatta
Sat 21st June
A knock out multilane regatta over 2000m on the Dorney rowing lake.
An important event for crews competing in Henley.

1st men's IV (S2 4+): 2nd of 5 in the heats and 5th of 6 in the semi finals

FaT vs BPBC Cricket Challenge
Sun 22nd June
The annual cricket match between First and Third and BPBC, staged at the Old Fields.
A 25-over challenge match between FaT and club old boys, Black Prince Boat Club. The new tally is 5-1 to the students.
