A training session must be at least 30 minutes long to count.

This poll shows why we need an online training log that can be updated via text message or WAP or a terminal at the boathouse -- the lavender web!

Although I fear I would fall foul of it these days - my training has been, um, less than stellar since the end of January.

Lavender web? Just in case I was being really stupid, I googled, to find out what you were talking about. Here is what I found. Care to explain?

ightweight Lilie said: Care to explain? In the beginning, there was no training diary at the boathouse. There was no trainnig diary in the weights room, no training diary by the ergometers, and no training diary in the area with the carpet. And the captain looked upon the boathouse and proposed the idea of having a single folder into which people could log all their training sessions. Lo, a folder was purchased, and all was good in the world. And the folders multiplied, and verily there was a folder for the men's first 8, one for the women's first 8 and on occasion one for the boats that are lower.Alas, after a time the men's first 8 folder went into the wilderness and a new folder was needed. The captain supplied a new folder, and for reasons unknown to the rest of the club (but probably related to whatever was cheap in WHSmith that week), decreed that purple would be a good colour for the folder. And the rest of the first eight looked upon the folder and said "but it is lavender" and from that day forward it was known as the lavender folder, even during terms when it was not lavender. There endeth the lesson. Thanks be to rowing.
