Can everyone thinking of standing for captain at any stage in the future note the result of this poll and plan accordingly? The people have spoken!

Certainly anyone standing for women's captain! Though am I right in thinking the women (and men's lower boats for that matter) only have wooden blades, meaning the validity of the result as a basis for actual decisions is dubious?

Well, quite a lot of us have done other (ie non FaT) rowing at some stage, and so have experienced the horrors of such things as plastic handles. But you're probably partially right, in that any change in handle is going to feel funny and give you blisters for a number of outings, and I've never really given anything except wooden handles a fair go.

Who _is_ thinking of standing for either captain, btw? Any candidates/gossip/rumour/slander available?
