I recognise of course, that in the strictest sense of the word this picture isn't funny at all

What the f***? Did this actually happen, or is it some cunning edit? Did you go in, Anna?

And how did you find the picture, jmg?
by jmg - Tue 5th Mar 2002, 3:52pm
Not my edit - it's on the indigo-photographic website

Anna did actually fall in the river. It was after our first bumps race had been stopped because of obstruction to the river. Anna's blade got caught on a member of the Churchill boat, did quite a few weird things and the next thing I knew I was looking at Anna half in and half out of the river...

That is not ****ing funny! Well, only slightly. It actually was quite traumatic though to be fair especially for the Churchill cox, I just got wet and swore a lot (sorry everyone in the boat). Never mind.

As a former College expert on comedy, I have to say, this is funny.

Now I look at it more closely it appears that no-one in my crew is taking the least interest in my predicament. Charming I call that ;o)

Perhaps this photo could be entered into the 'caption competition' on the CUCBC site? What do you think, Anna?

Do I actually have a choice?

Hmm, maybe a bit tasteless considering people ended up in Addenbrookes...
