1st men's VIII, 1st division

1st Overall
Time: 6:18
Not bad. Good enough to win it quite comfortably but a long way to go yet. (Dan)
Rah Rah First And Third !

After rowing flat out into the 20+ knot headwind for just over six minutes, my legs were pretty dead, but it seems it was worth it in the end. Now we just need to row with a bit more togetherness and we'll go quite fast. The race was better than the Head-2-Head, but there's definitely room for improvement. (Matt)
Pretty pleased with this - a definite improvement on the Head2Head. I felt pretty knackered by the end, but looking forward to the next race where I might be able to use more than just my left leg! :) (Dan)

1st women's VIII, 1st division

3rd
Time: 7:56
Know idea what the ladies thought of their race but I think this is an excellent result and bodes well for the rest of this term! Congratulations girls. (Dan)
Having not rowed in that particular crew order before, and having struggled even to get the boat house in the wind, few of us expected great things from today, but were pleasantly suprised. We had a pretty powerful start, and pushed up a little into Catz. Things went down hill a little form there, and the wind on the reach was nearly the end of us, but the power and determination was there for the duration. (jo)
Congratulations girls! For what was efectively a scratch crew and in appalling conditions the crew had a great row. The start was especially good, feeling powerful and together, and, although it tailed off as the race went on, I'm really pleased with the performance and the well-earned result. (Aileen)
