Coxless pairs

Foster Fairbairn Pairs, Glass/Davies

4th round
Lost to CCAT by 17s
This was a tight race. The CCAT pair inspected the bank briefly around first post allowing the Jons to close, but subsequently slowly pulled out a small lead of some 3 or 4 seconds. Unfortunately the Jons engaged the bank themselves moments before the finish line, resulting in the large official margin. [by the webmaster]

Magdalene Silver Pairs, Byrne/Colvin

1st round
Lost to Rose / Clouting (48s)
After crashing 3 times and being overtaken by the opposition before Grassy, this was a shocking display of steering the Cam by the bow man that lost us the race.
I'm sorry, Hugh. (Matt)

Cam Sprints (Senior2 2-), Talbott/Earl

Final
Beat X-Press easily
If anything was going to go wrong, it was probably going to happen on the first stroke. Fortunately, the first stroke was class and we scorched into the lead. At half-way, with X-Press trailing in our considerable wake, John thought we should stride it out a bit, and assuming that I was thinking something along the same lines said 'up to you'. Unfortunately I heard 'Up 2!' which we duly did, to rousing applause from our boathouse. We sailed over the finish line with X-Press barely in sight to win Senior 2 and my second pot of the day.
