Multicultural crews by Just wondering... - Thu 17th Feb 2005, 8:41pm
I'm one of two home students in the 2nd Lent VIII, leaving seven overseas students and a total of six countries represented in the boat (or seven if you count Wales...). Has FaT ever produced such a mutlicultural boat before?

If you count the fact that Rachel in the Lents M2 last year was out of this world and Northern Ed certainly is not human then I think that they both trump mere geography.

I've been in a crew where no two people were from the same continent.

Just for the sake of detail, the countries involved are Britain, Portugal, Sweden, Hong Kong (China?), the U.S., Australia, Germany . . . and Texas.

No, those guys are nutjobs: http://www.republic-of-texas.net/ I was referring more to the generally cocksure attitude of most of us Texans... and our proclivity for giving the rest of the world presidents (Johnson, Bush II) who like to make sh*t up in order to conquer things. |
