The winter edition of the classic Head-To-Head race. Go from Railway Bridge to the A14, spin, and then come back again. Add your two times together for the final result.

1st women's VIII (Lent First VIIIs): 4th in Category; 7:20.0 out; 8:31.1 back

A 2k race from Bridge to Bridge
“The friendliest race on the cam” Formerly Newnham Short Course

1st men's VIII (1st VIIIs): 8th in Category
1st women's VIII (1st VIIIs): 7th in Category
3rd men's VIII (Lower VIIIs): 15th in Category
3rd women's VIII (Lower VIIIs): 17th in Category

Pembroke Regatta
Sat 17th February
A side-by-side knock out regatta on the reach, over 1100m
An event for college crews run in 3 divisions. For many crews, the last race practice before the bumps, and a popular event.

LMBC M3 (M3 division): Lost to Emma M2, 4 lengths in the 1st round

Sun 18th February
A timed head race on the Cam, primarily for Town crews.
The Winter League is a series of races for town clubs; college crews seldom enter in great numbers.

2nd women's VIII (College VIIIs): 1st of College Lents 2nd and below

Lent Bumps
Tue 27th February - Sat 2nd March
The famous Cambridge University Bumps on the River Cam
The focus of the year so far. The Lent Bumps are smaller and less prestigious than the May Bumps, but nevertheless involve 57 men's and 63 women's crews.

1st men's VIII: 10th in division 1
Down 1 - Bumped by Emmanuel
1st women's VIII: 9th in division 1
Stayed level - Bumped Pembroke and Trinity Hall, bumped by Trinity Hall and Clare
2nd men's VIII: 15th in division 2
Stayed level - Bumped Darwin, bumped by Downing II

A side-by-side knock out regatta on the reach, over 800m
An event for the lower boats, who haven't generally got on for Lent Bumps

3rd men's VIII (3rd men's VIIIs): Bye in the 1st round and Lost to Emma M3 in the 2nd round
3rd women's VIII (3rd women's VIIIs): Raced 3 rounds: Lost to Newnham W3 in the semi finals

2nd Trinity Challenge Sculls
Tue 12th March
A timed sculling race for singles, doubles and pairs over a course from Little Bridge to Peter's Posts, run by First and Third.
This is an historic event, but recently has been run continuously since only 1999. The event is for single sculls, both shell and clinker, as well as double sculls. In 2010 pairs were invited to enter for the first time.

Head of the River Race

A huge head race on the Tideway (tidal river Thames) over the University Boat Race course
The largest annual VIIIs head race in the country, attracting most rowing clubs and many University and College crews. The course is 4 1/4 miles, from Mortlake to Putney.
