Now changed to a 2k race.

Bedford Head
Sun 10th February
A 2000m timed head race on the Great Ouse
An event attended by a some Cambridge Colleges.

1st men's VIII (Open Eights (Band 2)): 4th, (+00:12) to Downing M1
1st women's VIII (Women's Eights (Band 2)): 2nd, (+00:02) to Jesus W1
1st women's VIII (Women's Eights (Band 3)): 2nd, (+00:14) to Bedford Modern School
2nd men's VIII (Open Eights (Band 3)): 3rd, (+00:26) to First and Third M1
2nd men's VIII (Open Eights (Band 4)): 7th, (+00:28) to Queen's M1

Pembroke Regatta
Sat 16th February
A side-by-side knock out regatta on the reach, over 1100m
An event for college crews run in 3 divisions. For many crews, the last race practice before the bumps, and a popular event.

4th men's VIII (College lower VIIIs): Won Easily in the 1st round and Lost, 2 lengths in the 2nd round

Lent Bumps Getting-on Race
Fri 1st March
The 2000m qualifying race for the Lent Bumps
The Lent Bumps are the focus of the term for college rowing, but only those boats finishing sufficiently high in last year's races are automatically entered. All other crews must compete for the remaining places available.

4th men's VIII: Did not get on by 19 seconds

The famous Cambridge University Bumps on the River Cam
The focus of the year so far. The Lent Bumps are smaller and less prestigious than the May Bumps, but nevertheless involve 63 men's and 57 women's crews.

1st men's VIII: 7th in division 1
Up 3 - Bumped Clare, Peterhouse and Christ's
1st women's VIII: 6th in division 1
Up 1 - Bumped Murray Edwards and Clare, bumped by LMBC
2nd men's VIII: 13th in division 2
Down 4 - Bumped by St. Edmund's, Darwin, Sidney Sussex and Hughes Hall
2nd women's VIII: 11th in division 3
Down 6 - Bumped Jesus III, bumped by Queens' II, Trinity Hall II and Darwin II
3rd men's VIII: 9th in division 3
Down 3 - Bumped by Magdalene II, Trinity Hall II and Clare Hall

Head of the River Race
Sat 30th March
A huge head race on the Tideway (tidal river Thames) over the University Boat Race course
The largest annual VIIIs head race in the country, attracting most rowing clubs and many University and College crews. The course is 4 1/4 miles, from Mortlake to Putney.
