I never know how to judge a row in the horrific conditions we saw today. A strong tailwind on the row down suggested a massive headwind on the reach. Relative calm by the plough allowed us a sensible start, and we came onto the reach a little surprised by the good send we were getting. Round the kink the wind picked up suddenly and coming past the railway bridge we essentially stopped for a couple of strokes due to massive gusts. More needed.
