Close throughout, won by a very small distance. A bit spacky, but the commitment was definitely there.

They were about a length behind after the start, then they crabbed and easied for a while. We took several more lengths and then paddled it back.

We were a few seats down after the start, and the power dropped. They had clear water by the railway bridge, and though we started putting more power down towards the end, we were too far behind to catch up.
Overall, it wasn't a bad performance, but we can't afford to lose to third boats if we want to do well in bumps.
