Mich Term 2005

5th men's novice VIII

Queens' Novice Ergo Competition (2nd division)

17th of 29, 1st of 3 E crews
Time: 13:53
After a half-hour wait due to delays the 5th Men paraded onto the arena to do their duty for First and Third. Thanks to a position right next to the man-high speakers, excellent coxing from Tom and Dami, and a lot of supportive cheering from the balconies we... I mean, *they* put in a solid team effort, going all-out in a race which saw several new personal best times. The intense atmosphere, brand-new model D ergs and complimentary tragic pun t-shirts certainly made this a night to remember. Well rowed guys! (Magnus Jones)

Novice Fairbairn Cup (2nd division)

66th Novice Men's Crew, 3rd of 3 5th Boats, 23rd in Division 2
Time: 14:37
Well done guys. The fact that you, the men's novice squad, produced five crews wanting to race at Fairbairns is an achievement in itself, and a testament to the strength in depth we have at First and Third. You applied yourselves well today and came away with the achievement of beating a 4th crew. Congrats for completing your first race for Trinity; hope you enjoyed the term's rowing as much as we have! (Albert)
