Light IV, Light IVs

Final
2nd to LMBC
Time: 10:46
With only three crews entered, they ran the race as a head race. (Matt)
3 crews entered. We were drawn against Maggie in the only semi. Maggie didn't turn up. The powers that be took pity on them and somewhat unbelievably re-arranged the entire format of Uni IV's into a Head race 2 days later to suit the scum.

To be fair, they contained a couple of people from Goldie and were a lot better than us [we were the FaT 3rd crew] and so won the Head race convincingly although it was pleasing for us that we still beat Jesus' first boat.

Compare the attitude of the powers that be here to 2001... (Ingram)

1st men's IV, 1st division

1st round
Beat Queens'
Caught them up at the Plough. Easy race. They tried to get us disqualified by stopping halfway down the Reach so we would overtake or make contact! (Matt)
Quarter finals
Beat LMBC II (32s)
16 seconds up at the Plough, 32 second win. Nuff said! (Matt)
Semi finals
Beat Trinity Hall (13s)
Time: 7:07
The day before we failed to pick up the well enough and almost got beaten. Dead heated 3 times - 7:20, 7:20, 7:23, one after the other. They wanted to race Fitz (the other finalists) and then share the Trophy! We said "We'll keep going till one of us dies."

We went out and pulled hard, rowing not as well as the day before, and won by miles! (Matt)
Final
Beat Fitzwilliam (16s)
2 secs at the Plough, 4 at Ditton, 16 at the finish - they died! (Matt)
