A fun race by all accounts despite the rain. Watch out head of the cam, the composeight is coming for you.
The Composeight, a scratchy crew,
Every stroke a foray into something new.
We arrived early to face the rain,
To push ourselves hard in the hope of gain.
We started fresh- faster than thought,
Hoping not to be caught.
That was no worry, but what was,
Tenseness, powerlessness- we suffered thus.
Still despite it we finished strong,
Ultimately nothing had gone wrong.
We will be back to do it once more,
To surpass what came before.
