Women's Championship Sculls
Tue 23rd April
The women's 2000m knock-out regatta in the 'chasing' format for single sculls.
Rebecca Palmer entered, and was thereby the women's club's representative in the Small Boats Regatta.

Bushe-Fox Freshman's sculls
Tue 23rd April
A 2000m knock-out regatta in the 'chasing' format for single sculls, for 'men in their first year of residence'.
Fan Zhang and Hugh Colvin both entered, but as inexperienced scullers racing their first races both lost to a strong field.

Fairbairn Junior Sculls
Tue 23rd April
A 2000m knock-out regatta in the 'chasing' format for single sculls
John Earl entered. After two wins he retired due to an injury.

Foster Fairbairn Pairs
Tue 23rd April
A 2000m knock-out regatta for coxless pairs as part of the Small Boats Regatta - raced in the 'chasing' format (boats starting 100 yards apart) from the posts before the motorway bridge to those by the pink house in the Reach.
The small boats races generally attract only a small number of entries - and by regularly entering crews we have had many successes in recent years. Glass and Davies won their races easily to reach the final, where they lost by a narrow margin to CCAT.

Magdalene Silver Pairs
Wed 24th April
A 2000m knock-out regatta for coxless pairs in the chasing format.
The Magdalene Silver Pairs is the more prestigious of the two pairs events. Rose and Clouting reached the final where they lost to the CCAT Foster-Fairbairn winners.

Head of the Cam
Sat 4th May
A timed headrace on the Cam for college and town crews
Many college crews not racing in Nottingham enter - including our women's 1st VIII and men's 3rd and 4th squad VIIIs. Useful early term race practice and the first hint of form for the May Bumps.

Nottingham City Regatta
Sat 4th May
A high profile 2000m multilane regatta at the National Watersports centre in Nottingham
Four or five college boatclubs generally travel to Nottingham to experience multilane racing. Racing is held on two separate days; the 2nd men's VIII entered senior4 and also rowed in IVs.

Bedford Regatta
Sat 11th May
A knock out side by side regatta over 1200m
A large event attracting many college, university and club crews from Oxford, Cambridge and beyond

Cam Sprints
Sun 12th May
A fun 400m sprint regatta held by the boathouses
If the sun is shining the Cam sprints can be a fun day by the river, with short exciting races - and even more fun if you win pots.......!

Cambridge Head-2-Head
Sun 12th May
A race rowed over two head courses back to back
In a busy weekend of racing, with Bedford the day before and the sprint races in the afternoon, the only First and Third representative was our captain, in his single scull.

Cambridge 99's Regatta

A side by side knock out regatta along the reach over 1000m
A fun summer regatta for college VIIIs. Unfortunately not all that many crews are able to enter, though, because of exam pressures! Our 2nd VIII win their division and with it yet more pots!

Peterborough Summer Regatta

A knock out multilane regatta over 1000m on the Peterborough City Rowing club rowing lake
Usually very close to bumps, few college crews travel to Peterborough to enter this event. However, over the last few years a few very successful crews have made the trip - in the hope of enjoying some good summer racing and bringing home some prizes.

The highlight of the college rowing calendar involving a total of over 1500 students - 100 at Trinity

Henley Women's Regatta
Fri 21st - Sun 23rd June
A 1500m side by side knock out regatta on the Thames passing by the famous Temple Island and finishing near the centre of Henley.
A prestigious regatta with many international crews competing alongside the finest national clubs. College VIIIs this year had forty-three entries with many university crews, including Cambridge and American universities, racing alongside college eights from Oxford and Cambridge. The event often clashes with the last day of the Bumps and so Cambridge college crews are often unable to enter.

Marlow Regatta
Sat 22nd June
A knock out multilane regatta over 1450m on the Dorney rowing lake.
An important event for crews competing in Henley. College crews rarely attend, but we went along as a Men's IV as part of our Henley preparation.

FaT vs BPBC Cricket Challenge
Sun 23rd June
The inaugural First and Third vs BPBC Cricket match, held at Madingley.
Hardened past and present members of First and Third never pass up an opportunity to demonstrate lack of any ability at other sports, but this event was nevertheless a huge success! First and Third won an epic encounter by 69 runs.
