Biennial Dinner

The highlight of the Association social calendar is a biennial black tie dinner held in college. This is a great chance to meet up with old friends and exchange rowing stories of yesteryear.

The next Biennial Dinner is expected to be in 2027. (2025 will see a Bicentenary celebration dinner instead; head to our dedicated Bicentenary page for more info.) To receive details of the dinner by email, you are advised to join the First & Third Boat Club Association.

A Veterans' Rowing Day is typically held earlier on the day of the dinner, when the Boathouse is open and outings organised. Recent Rowing Days have been very enjoyable and we encourage former crewmates to group together and organise reunion outings - all vintages catered for!

First Tuesday

The Association meets on the First Tuesday of each month in a pub in central London, and any members are welcome to come along to say hello.
The evening starts in the pub at approximately 7PM (or whenever people can get out of work):

Third Thursday

When sufficient members are around in Cambridge, Bufties and often Trinity post-grads meet up on the Third Thursday of each month in a pub in Cambridge.
