Fifth time lucky by BJ - Sat 3rd Feb 2007, 9:20am
Those of you outside college might be interested to know that Tom Coker has been elected TCSU President at the fifth attempt. I look forward to a full colour boat club pull-out in next year's Freshers' Handbook.
FaTBCFC vs BPBCFC football match by FaTBCFC 1st XI Captain 2007 - Fri 19th Jan 2007, 4:19pm
I am delighted to announce that the first annual FaTBCFC vs BPBCFC football match will kick off at 2pm on Saturday 17 March, at the Cranmer Road pitch (near Selwyn).

If you would like to play, then please get in touch with me (bjg32 at cam.ac.uk) if you are a current member of First and Third, or with Neil Talbott (neiltalbott4 at hotmail.com) if you are a member of Black Prince. All levels of experience and skill are encouraged and, in the unlikely event that we have more than eleven players, we shall play rolling subs and everyone will get at least half a game.

We are also looking for a referee (names have been mentioned...) and maybe even linesmen ('assistant referees') if anyone's keen. Please get in touch with me if you are willing to help out!

After the match we expect to celebrate St Patrick's Day in an Irish-themed pub, or maybe just Wetherspoons, with a Justice-style post-match analysis. All are welcome, even if you haven't taken part in the match! (5 replies...)

Mays pictures by Martin P - Sun 25th Jun 2006, 9:42pm
About half way through my stash of pictures from the Mays.... the rest will follow hopefully by the end of this week.

Favourites so far... are this and this. Special mention must also go to the 5th boats catches. Very photogenic! Sorry that not all crews are as well represented as the 5th VIII! Not only did they do more rowing than anyone else... but it is much much easier taking these in the early divisions with fewer bikes and people about.
Set Phasers to Buft by Simon - Mon 19th Jun 2006, 12:05pm
Just stumbled upon the Captains' meeting minutes - was starting to think that nothing has changed in 5 years when I saw the bit about the Mays being sponsored. And then I saw Paragraph 9... blimey. Managed to change a signifcant rule in bumps (i.e. we're not talking about the sandwich boat's white flag here) unanimously.
Just wondered what people thought. (26 replies...)
Seat cushions by Lwt jmg - Tue 30th May 2006, 11:43am
Does anyone know where I can get a good seat cushion to use during ergs? I used to have an awesome gel-based cushion which I used sculling and made life much more comfortable, but I left it ATBH when many years ago and never saw it again.

I'm as light as I've been for years right now, and I'm finding ergs an increasing struggle due to the pain in my @rse after 10mins sitting on the seat. Would be very grateful for any help on this one... (2 replies...)
Lose? by Simon - Sun 28th May 2006, 9:16am
I'm sure people reading this are playing The Game, and if so - sorry, but you lose. (16 replies...)
Robbie Williams fan club by Martin P - Thu 25th May 2006, 12:50pm
Does anyone know anyone who is a member of the Robbie Williams Fan Club? This is a serious request. Apparently there is an annual fee to join. Members can buy priority tickets to concerts and a friend (honest) is wanting tickets for a concert in Sydney (which go on sale on the 6th June)......

I appreciate this looks really odd, but genuine offers of assistance would be appreciated! Anyone? (1 replies...)
