1st women's novice VIII

Queens' Novice Ergo Competition (1st division)

11th in Division 1
Time: 15:34
Well, there obviously should've been a stewards' enquiry, and we should've qualified for the final! Unfortunately our erg was only set up for a single 500m race, so after a 30-45s delay (and a second standing start) we set off with the other 7 rowers, but still beat Girton to the finish. The women really put in a gutsy row, but had their concentration disrupted slightly by the technical problems. So it was slightly frustrating to finish only one place outside the qualifiers for the final, but a determined performance nevertheless! (BJ)

Well done, girls and Ruth!

Well... unfortunately it wasn't quite pay-back time for Jesus, but seeing that we only came 11th in Queens ergs this goes to show that Technique Does Matter!!!

Welcome to the senior squad... see you all for Lents!
