The 2nd men's selection squad raced in an eight, once. Not a bad result - 2nd of 3 college 2nd VIIIs entered, and then only by 3 seconds. Not bad, considering it was only the 4th outing this term for some of them!

This felt like a really good row. Having Boars head closing up on us helped, as we could push off them. It fell apart a bit coming past the Plough, but we recovered and held them off until the motorway bridge.
Although a minute and a half off the pace, we didn't think it was a bad result, especially considering we had just one outing together in the race crew - that morning!
