1st men's VIII

Wednesday
Bumped Downing
Good start, dropped all, 43 on wind, 37 in Gut, 36 on Plough Reach, 37 out of Ditton (on one length). They blew up/fell apart in the reach and ran to the outside of the corner. We got clean water and pwered alongside. Their 7 man hit our bows with his blade. BUMPED!!

Incredible, HEAD OF THE RIVER, and around 40-50 people on the bank, cheering! (Matt)
Thursday
Rowed over Head
We rowed over 3 lengths clear, rating around 32 once we were in the reach. (Matt)
Friday
Rowed over Head
Maggie got Downing at the Railway Bridge, we were all too busy watching and rowed like spanners in an enormous headwind. Around 10 lengths clear of Caius. (Matt)
Saturday
Rowed over Head
Rowed over at 36 to Ditton, 34 down the reach and 36-38 home, 6 lengths clear of Maggie. Despite the snow before the start, the weather was perfect and the rowing spectacular. (Matt)

2nd men's VIII

Tuesday
Rowed over
Had an average to good row, but never really got anywhere near King's. It looked as though they never really knew what to do once King's had held them on the start and through the corners. (Matt)
Thursday
Bumped King's
Bumped Kings at the Railings in much the same way as we got Downing. They were all very fired up after watching us go head. (Matt)
Friday
Rowed over
They thought they had got them, and had to re-row on Saturday, but it didn't go their way. (Matt)
Saturday
Bumped St. Catharine's
Didn't get close in the re-row, but hit Catz on Grassy(!) at 3:20 to go up to 4th in the 2nd division. (Matt)

Bumped Jesus III
We came up on them so quickly it was scary... I'd just called a stride (or was it ENGAGE?) when we hit them. (Dubya)
Saturday

All the crews in front bumped out! (Matt)

Gents VIII

Thursday
Bumped LMBC V
Apparently, it was later suggested by LMBC that we had cheated by changing the crew. "How else," they asked, "could you have bumped us back after we bumped you last week?" Simple really:
a) You're Maggie.
b) We had increased the number of outings as a crew by 100%.

As bow, I had the pleasure of shouting at their cox to acknowledge. Which they then did... (Simon)
