The Club's Boats

Hambleden

Hambleden is a small town on the upper stretches of the River Thames above Henley. Hambleden is a coxless pair, which means it is for just two people. It is not a high quality boat but has been very useful for occasional club use since it was bought at the same time as Titan.

The most noteworthy moment in Hambleden's history is probably its part in destroying the bows of the Emmanuel 1st women's VIII at the end of Lent term in 1998 in a mid river collision - an event from which the boat emerged virtually unscathed.
