I will be interested in seeing how Kingston head turns out, possibly a tad overorganised though due to these 7 pages of crew instructions covering every eventuality and an even worse map available at the kingston rc website. http://www.kingstonrc.co.uk/index.php | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Unfortunately those instructions are pretty much what you're required to do these days. The race I run issues 6 pages to competitors, including maps, but a further 11 to marshals and umpires. I am trying to cut it down as we're not sure how much gets read, but it's a lot easier to put things in than take them out, and there are minimum standards for instructions that events on the Thames are expected to meet. The map is fine, content wise, and is a good representation of that bit of river and its hazards. Just not the colours I would have chosen! |
