Took about 4 minutes to get a solid rhythm set up, probably owing to the fact that the crew had a one-stroke warm up and it was the combination's first outing for 6 weeks. Once we had settled and got it together, it went very well.

After getting straight out of the VIII and into the IV's, some people were still feeling the after-effects of the previous race. We started off at a nice 32 which dropped down a bit in the middle of the race, but we managed to bring it back up again at the finish as we overlapped a Sidney crew across the line.

What better way to end the term than with the best row we have ever had together, and a great result to match it? Our time was less than twenty seconds slower than the winners, and to come joint fourth out of 21 entries is excellent- a deserved result for such a gutsy and powerful performance. Well done girls!
