2nd Womens four had an excellent race today, won by 2 - 3 clear lengths.

Come on down and support tomorrow, they'll be facing either Clare II or Tit Hall II, not sure who yet. Probably the race will start around half two.

Good first day from the grad boys. Set off hard and established a solid rythym. Got inside station on Corpus II but sadly LMBC IV fell apart and then took it wide round grassy before falling to Corpus just after the corner.

The boys and Sarah were keen to have a crack at the overbump but prevented by carnage.

Pembroke III were never a threat and fell back to about 8 lengths behind before conceding the overbump to Wolfson II.

Job done. The crew really came together nicely today. The rate felt unforced and the row home was better then our usual paddling. Lot still to do though, and the first big test is tomorrow. Lets do it.

That's Pedros Hat Trick sorted... Pretty good days racing, lot of work still to do for bumps.

Conditions on the lake were good, with no significant wind of tail or head variety. Put in a solid row which was pretty quick for the crew that was racing. The result was disappointing, but unlike races on the cam you can't just turn up without doing much practice and grunt your way to victory in an S3 multilane... the training continues...

We had a good start, and a decent first post reach. Managed to make good ground on Selwyn but failed to move up on Queens. Things didn't go so well through the middle part of the course, I suspect we were all devoting a bit too much concentration to watching the unfolding drama behind. Eventually Peterhouse overtook Selwyn (smooth!) and shortly after we decided to get on with rowing again. Sadly it was too little too late and we again failed to move up on Queens. Need to raise the game a bit tomorrow or the drama might involve us!

Not the result we'd hoped for. We had a good start, and even seemed to have moved up slightly off the back of it. Once we settled down though it became apparent that Peterhouse were cruising faster then us. We rowed through the corners better the previous day, however Peterhouse were faster still and we were under serious pressure coming out of grassy. Peterhouse made a good move off the corner and we didn't manage to respond. They had the inside of us round ditton and out of the corner quickly gained enough overlap to convert to a bump.

We put in a really good race today, don't think anybody in the crew has any doubts about that. Just too bad for us that Girton are pretty quick! Decent start, and we managed to hold Girton at about station up to first post corner and through the gut. Coming out of Grassy they came up on us pretty hard, and once again we were facing overlap shortly after ditton. The first time they got enough overlap we managed to pull it away at the last moment, but they came back even harder and the second time we couldn't get away. The bump was conceded maybe a third of the way down the reach. Word from the bank was that we'd gotten inside a length of Peterhouse by the time we were bumped.

Oh you boys, always getting yourselves into trouble...

Very good row from M2, which saw them putting a decent amount of distance onto Sidney from the start. An excellent turnaround from the first day and very good rowing from them.

Catz were very unfortunate, as they didn't just hit the bank they were also trapped there by an evil tree so they couldn't get out again.
