With only one goal and nothing to lose we set off strong giving everything we had from the cannon. After every push we continued to gain on Christ's the sound of the whistle music to our ears. Stroke after stroke we committed to the lifts gritting our teeth through the pain. Our reward came with a jerk in the boat as we finished our race within 500m. It may not have been the bumps campaign we were hoping for, but I'm glad to say it definitely finished on a high.

This was never going to be an easy race with a comparatively inexperienced crew, and yet we came through strong and gave it everything we had. Longer and harder than anything we had done as a crew before we continued on overtaking 2 crews. Overall an incredible experience (yet a little painful if I may say so myself), and a day I will never forget.

A pretty solid start to the week with a nice 'n' short row over. It perhaps wasn't the first day we really wanted but definitely one to be happy about. We had a strong start with a whistle in the first minute but Girton were closing on Christ's much faster and seemed to be incapable of clearing in a suitable manner. Next time they get in our way I hope we hit em!

BEASTED it!! Bumped in 1 minute 12 seconds and absolutely flew off the start. It was a strong and powerful row, with great commitment. You can tell all our 1 minute pieces really payed off! First bump of FaT's campaign, you go girls!!

Perhaps the best row as a crew this term so far. Great power and connection through the water throughout. That being said, rowing the whole bumps course for the first time was not the most enjoyable experience; my legs weren't particularly grateful.

We got a whistle on Girton pretty quickly off the start but they held us and eventually gained water along the reach. A massive push meant that we began moving on them again until they reacted and continued to hold through to the finish.

Once again a great row in itself despite getting bumped. After rowing over on Friday we were aiming to race it much harder to grassy in the hope of continuing to gain at a good rate. This didn't quite go to plan but after the first whistle we managed to hold them at a length for considerably longer today. Unlike yesterday however, we were being chased by Churchill whom began to gain on us after grassy, taking the bump as we came onto the reach. A slightly disappointing end to our bumps campaign but I am extremely proud of the girls!! We'll have our revenge next year!

This was a close race with us moving nicely at the start. A powerful start gave us some distance on Girton but unfortunately an extremely poor corner (resulting from very unevenly matched sides), and our bow seat injuring her wrist resulted in the opposition edging back and eventually taking the win. Overall not a bad race for a scratch crew with little training together!

Most definitely a race to be proud of! We hit it hard off the start with rate reaching the high 30s / low 40s, and settled only a punchy 34. The commitment in the boat was great with each and every one of us giving our all. We all reacted well to calls and had a great line though all of our corners. Sadly Christ's moving slower off the start ahead of us made for a race in their wash for a large proportion of the course which was anything other than ideal. Coming through the railway bridge we had a massive push bringing the rate up by a pip to come across the line in an extremely close 3rd. BRING ON FAIRBAIRNS!!!
