Event: Head of the Nene 1999 - Novice VIIIs

One of the most talked about Head of the Nene crews! This was the 5k race which included:
1. At 1k the bow four head Alice say '1k to go' admittedly after she had say '1k gone, push though 3k and then..' although we didn't hear that!
2. When Crabtree came up to us most of the crew believed that it was Cauis (II) and so we held them for a minute or two! After that effort we died!
3. In the last k noone had anything left to give! One of the worst 5k races I have done!

Event: May Bumps 2002 - Thursday

Mark Hall, our coach for much of term, summed up the plan: "Absolutely no complacency - there's no way Christ's can be that bad again". We made a fast start, were at a length after 5 strokes, had overlap at top station, and made the bump before First Post. Mark, they really were THAT bad.

Bring on Binson -- amusingly they missed Tit Hall today.

A completely commited row demonstrating once again the Lent VIII is the fastest college boat this term. Not quite fast enough to get the bump but still the fastest.

RTT - didn't you take most of the baileys as well? Although I seem to remember you didn't drink much else (and certainly didn't run between stations!). The Elite 3- that was the standard (and such a bad idea!).
