Thank you by Simon - Sat 24th Feb 2007, 4:09pm
One thing which I don't think gets said enough on this website is thank you to the webmaster. Currently Bryn, originally Martin, and with others along the way, they have built a website which remains the envy of other sports clubs both in Cambridge and beyond. Although the site looks the same, it's clear that the improvements both big (BumpIT) and small (changing code to generate Torpids rules bumps charts) are ongoing and also a lot of work. The fact that I can put in all these links as well just makes it more fun.

Next week is busy and stressful for everyone, but thanks to their work this site has become a brilliant reference point for live information and an archive of what's gone before.

Thanks guys!

Hear hear, it's a website to be proud of, and an essential part of my 'circle of procrastination'. Torpids rules bumps charts do also form an excellent method of procrastination.
Good luck everyone for next week - i'm banned from cycling (probably just as well) but will be there cheerleading on the bank!

Thanks Simon, but also speaking for myself I have to say that it is thanks to everyone who posts all the results, reports and pictures that it's working so well. Its brilliant to feel so in touch with what is happening on the Cam - please keep it up! I don't think many people currently rowing would believe the number of people out here who follow the club's fortunes on this thing.

And all the best of luck to everyone rowing next week. I for one am nervous as hell! Can't wait to see you all in action...

And by WAP while in the European Parliament (sat next to someone who rowed in a 1st & 3rd Gents VIII in the 50s...)
