BP II by esther (never coxing again) - Fri 28th Mar 2003, 2:12pm
Am I being really blonde and stupid or does BPII's stern sit really low in the water? Now i'm not suggesting you have fat chuffer coxes but is this true or have I felt safe in the coxes seat for too long?

example (doubt it will work: am very dense)

Being a girl I've never rowed in BP2 but suspect that the reason the stern looks so low is that the charming 2nd May VIII were on their way up the slide/at the catch ;-) so all the momentum is is going towards the stern. This could just be a pants theory though, I am only an arts student after all.

However, it could just be that Sam had been eating too many pies that day.

Maybe stern pair just picked up some exceptionally heavy greenery?

I'd go with the fat chuffer cox/stroke theory... ;)

no anna, i've looked at other photos incuding ones where the crew hadn't eaten all the pies and not on the recovery and it still looks low.

hang on, the linking factor here is mjb, ah ha!

the floor is now open to prove me very stupid (but not as stupid as i felt this morning having found that i've deleted the whole of my inbox, all 57 very important messages of it)

I can't be bothered to look but I believe you.

Am worried by your fascination with the 2nd May VIII though ;-). Work avoidance is the only possible explanation..

Oi Bitch !
I wasn't even in the 2nd Lent VIII last year.

So without me to weigh the bows down, the stern is in danger of being swamped ... ?
