Bumps trends by Dr. Pepper - Tue 25th Feb 2003, 7:58pm
Just been looking at the comparison of Lent Bumps positions. The 4th VIII have had quite a roll. Anyone know the last time they were in the 3rd Lents division? Well done on crossing a division boundary today guys.

I think the THIRD men were in the fourth division when I came up in 1994... A quick look at bumps charts show the fourth men last in the third division in 1978. They were bumped down by christs III on day 2.

So, a mere 25 years. Congrats guys!

The George Gilbert et al Bumps book has a CD ROM with it which has all of the results and charts from the start of the bumps to 1999. Lets you spot such gems as: 1st & 3rd II (men) have only won blades three times in the Mays (2002, 1997, c.1986). There are also loads of old bumps charts in the Union building.
