Lent Term Lard Requests by Lardy Heifer - Sat 15th Feb 2003, 9:01pm
After listening to my whinging about lack of savoury items in the lard cupboard today, Matt suggested that I started a new thread for us all to request lard, much like requesting bop songs. Only obviously for lard rather than bop songs. I want more savoury things, like crisps, twiglets, mini packets of pringles etc. There are probably more but I can't think at the moment.

Lardy Heifer said that she wants more lard variety
I'm going to the cash and carry again this week, probably on Friday, so get those requests rolling in. If lots of people request the same item, there's more chance of me searching high and low for it. If you're not specific enough, you might end up with silly things like Baked Bean flavour crisps or Pot Curry :-)

baked bean flavour crisps and pot curry are a graet idea! Thanks Amelia!

I'm a big fan of fudges, so some more of them would be good (although of course they are most needed for the mays).

Am still confused by the list of forthcoming features for this website where Martin/JPD promise "real-time lard"...

I'll let JPD explain the details, but the idea is to have some kind of internet connectivity to the BH computer and real-time update of lard purchases using the computer appearing on the website LARD page. I think.

Not many requests yet. Am I to believe that people are happy with the current selection of goodies ? About 36 hours to get those last minute requests in. Remember - be specific.

Can you get small paskets of Lions Sports Mixture these days?

I doubt it. I can have a look though. What is a pasket ? And more importantly what exactly is Lions Sports Mixture ?

Please could you get more non-chocolate and non-sweets items. Flapjacks are great, please get plenty more of them; muffins are good too. Things
like raisin bread or teacakes would be great, but perhaps they don't keep long enough to be viable.

Please can we also have more drumsticks as they are wicked. And maybe boxes of jaffa cakes would be good as they're always useful as a crew item after/between races. And other nice non-chocolatey things as well. :)
