The justice by Long overdue - Mon 14th Mar 2005, 2:56pm
Is there going to be a Justice meeting this term? Or has there been one that has just passed me by in my post BCD haze?
by KSS - Mon 14th Mar 2005, 7:31pm
Is this another thing to be organised by the KSS? If so will someone inform the KSS (kss@firstandthird.org) of any existing protocols as he is blissfully unaware of the procedures having never attended a meeting.

i think it's usually organised by the law lords, whoever they are these days?
Someone's got to be keen - i need _more_ reasons to get drunk this week...
by ex-JT - Mon 14th Mar 2005, 10:44pm
If you can wait until next (Good) Friday, the 3rd Annual Pre-Boat Race Pub Crawl is a good session of drinking (incorporating a 4-and-a-bit mile stroll to work off some of those excess calories imbibed during the event) and a handy way to (re-)acquaint yourself with the course before the main event on the (Easter) Sunday. Sign up in the diary section to receive further info on the itinerary closer to the day, or turn up at the Duke's Head on Putney Embankment at 1100.
Any latecomers will be strongly encouraged to play catch-up ...

Can we not ask the Law Lords to appoint some successors? This "tradition" is being overlooked too often.

The current Law Lords are Dubya and Din I believe.

I vaguely remember presiding at a justice meeting a year or two ago, so that will serve.

As the prospective plaintiffs will no doubt be aware, no current member of the committee may serve either as a Law Lord or as Chief Prosecutor. Bowing to our ancient custom, I am pleased to invite nominations for the appointment of additional Law Lords to the bench.

If you pick the right date, I would be available, but I warn you, old age sees me grow ever less tolerant of today's errant young...

How about this Saturday? [i.e tomorrow] - will most people will still be around?

How about this saturday, in Putney, after HoRR ??
by Amelia - Fri 18th Mar 2005, 10:13am
Most current students won't be in Putney this Saturday though, whereas most of them will be in Cambridge! I think tomorrow in Cambridge is a good suggestion.
by Andy - Fri 18th Mar 2005, 10:19am
I agree tomorrow seems a better option. Now if someone can suggest a venue and time...

Upstairs in the Maypole usually works well and they are generally fairly tolerant of boaties descending en masse into their premises.
by Andy - Fri 18th Mar 2005, 11:59am
Yeah, they're normally reasonably tolerant, although I suspect tomorrow afternoon will clash with some rugby or football thing. In which upstairs might actually be busy. We need a judge, someone willing to be horribly unfair and heavy handed :-)
by Lilie - Fri 18th Mar 2005, 11:23pm
ok.. so how about.. say 3.30 at the maypole tomorrow? if I turn up, will there be anyone there??
