Music by The opinion of the entire Baltimore school board - Fri 21st Dec 2001, 12:35pm
I note that Jesus' website ** includes a useful .mp3 file of 80 x 30-second snippets of music, loosely suitable for circuits (ranging from Gorillaz to Duran Duran and the "twisty Levis" ad to B*witched). Anyone able to equip the FaT site with somethjing similar, but more musically credible. It would be good desk-listening music for bored employees and also useful for next Term's FaT circuits. Anyone got any ideas of how we'd replay it in the BH?

** that's the Cambridge College, not the spiritual icon. Although, if it were the laatter, it WOULD add succour to the claim that "God is a DJ".

This bit is easy - you give all the tracks to Jonathon Davies (or someone else with the same software) who can then copy them onto a CD which will work in a CD player. Adding the 10 second gaps between the 50 second snippets is equally easy.

That's very useful information. I have no wish to go down the Bop playlist road, so will take a look at this. Nice one.

Alternatively, we could report them to the music industry and get JCBC a nice 5 figure fine.

I can mix CD's, and superimpose "Go", "Half-way" and "Change" on them (or any existing CD) no problem. Who's voice should I use for this (preferably comedy, not Mark and Lard)?

P.S. Isn't it "pour juice on your chin"? I'm probably wrong...

I think we should have JPD's voice. Either that or Stephen Hawking.

Noooooo, you've just given away what the stupid names are to everybody who doesn't know ;-)

I could record Andrew Fisher giving encouragement - "Go! Come on, you can do anything for 50 seconds... 4, if I were to say anything to you, what would it be? Remember, it is very unlikely that you will actualy die... Half-way. I want you to be ready to kill a man. Commit with the legs... 4! Last few reps to beat Emma. You're going to trash them. And now push... Change. OK, now I know you're tired, but I know you want it, and you're going to do it again. Forget about the last exercise - it's in the past. And don't think about the one after - it doesn't matter. I want you to give the next one everything. Attention - Go..." etc...

I had been thinking of doing something similar actually - with bleeps or recordings of short people shouting 'change' and 'go' to mark the intervals. In fact, I should probably start collecting such samples, so if anyone who has the technolody would like to send me recordings of themselves / family / friends saying those words or adding your own encouraging touches, then I'll see what I can do about producing a circuits playlist

Sounds like a good plan. Can we record coxes during outings and use their calls? :) There was that recording of Brad Parr wasn't there?

Although, as in the bleep test, there would need to be two 'Go!'s at the beginning of the recording a known length of time apart, to detect any stretching of the tape.
