Who Should You Vote For?
http://www.whoshouldyouvotefor.co...from Sarah, Wed 20th Apr, 1:34pm
In case you are having trouble deciding.

For a more in-depth question and answer session, including defining your key issues, you can also go to how2vote. It's run by a friend of mine, so I wholeheartedly recommend you go there.

... Assuming your local Labour MP doesn't apply for a postal vote on your behalf and fill it in for you to save you the trouble of voting Labour for yourself.

Cynical, me ?

I sincerely encourage people to use the site recommended by Mike. The significant advantage of its more in-depth questioning is a good reason but is dwarfed by the advantage conferred by the shocking preposition use of Sarah's site...

Is 'www.forwhomshouldonevote.com' still available?

One of the interesting things about Mike's site is the charts detailing the results compared with which party was given as the initial preference. As might be expected, on the charts showing those who said that they would initially support the LDs or Tories, the LDs and Tories are well ahead respectively. The slightly unusual one is that it's extremely close between all 3 main parties for those who gave Labour as their initial preference.

Anyone got any good reasons as to why this should be so?

I think this is because Labour have few strong policies (and in fact very few policies at all) but are seen to have by far the stronger set of individuals, which for most people in the UK seems to be a bigger factor in their voting than policy.

Although it's a shame that it doesn't factor in the minor parties - any chance of an upgraded version?
