The Bar Tab Challenge
http://quiz.talent-i.com/from Neil, Wed 15th May, 8:51am
This is a gift - an easy quiz game with £250 up for grabs if we can get into the top 10. There is no limit to the number of players on a team, and all players' scores are added together, so the more the better. To play, email me (nat23@cam.ac.uk) so I can add you to the team list.

Come on guys - get playing on mass - we have got to 25th - and I have earned many thousand points (max so far in a game 1070). The more games you play the more chance we get. If everyone chips in we should be able to win quite easily.

Either not many 1st & 3rd people are playing, the table doesn't update often or 24th have a big lead on us. Only one solution: play more. Currently no higher than 1210 in any one game, but that ought to be thoroughly despatched soon.

Up to 1290, but still reckon 2000 is feasible (but difficult). Best score so far before the big prize round is 530, but if you can hold the others in a tie situation, it seems you can keep answering (correctly) indefinitely. The database of questions must be miniscule judging by the number of repeats, so even if you started with no trivia knowledge whatsoever, it would just be a case of learning by trial and error.

In the interest of scoring points quickly, would it not make more sense to avoid the tie situation (where every question scores 10) and get to as many final rounds (where every question scores 100) as possible? Although I admit there is a certain sense of satisfaction to racking up 300 points before anyone else has scored any...

1480 is my best score so far. Obviously I'm not taking my own advice on scoring quickly...

Mine's 1300.

We're up to 21st.

Just got 1490, but we're down to 22nd again - time for a concerted push. Also, they can't spell "Luthor" (as in Lex).

We think that anyone can play in the FaT term, simply by following this link. You will need to register but that is a very simple process.

So now there's no excuse (well, apart from exam revision, clearly).

I've logged on to the quiz page, but I don't know how to join a team?...

By the way, a team from Emma won this...

Rumours are flying round Catz that we came first and second. We definately won something because the lucky winners celebrated their success in true Catz stylee by vomiting in the bar last week
