This is a test.

I\'m pleased to hear that the Bumpit scores r updating in real time today :-) . Fourth men enjoyed a very swift and dramatic bump on a chaotic Queens.

1st men row over, ~3 lengths away on both sides

Men's division 1: Caius do it again. Fat do it again.

Men's division 1: Christ\'s appeal on their decision is being considered.
by Martin - Thu 2nd Mar 2006, 6:02pm
Well, what a day on the river.

In M1, Clare beached themselves on the exit of Grassy corner. Pembroke believed they bumped Christs before Christs had passed Clare. Christs deny it. The decision was made in Pembroke's favour but is now being reconsidered after Christ's appealed. If they decide to rerow tomorrow then we'll go ahead with BumpIT for tomorrow on the basis of the original decision.

Also, and more amusingly, LMBC also crashed into the outside of Grassy in M1 - but were so far up on Churchill that they pushed off and got going before being caught!

Gutsy rowing from the first women, Jesus put up a very good fight. Tomorrow will be an interesting day, a real test for the crew.

The appeal has been heard, the original result stands. Clare are awarded a technical row over. Christs are down one.

Bad luck, Becca!

another torpids classic in oxford: poor New women were bumped off their headship yesterday. Today, whilst being overlaped to get bumped again they took a sideways leap and lodged themselves in the bank, Pembroke stylee. Lots of cracking of their boat and two girls had to be rescued by the safety launch.

Pretty rotton: headship to Div II in two days!

Bad luck, Becca!
The headship is still mine though - Mwah-ha-ha-ha

(and he's not rowing, so at least I don't have to offer sympathy as well as being wrong...!)

Women's division 2: mostly technical results in w2!
by Martin - Fri 3rd Mar 2006, 3:01pm
Major chaos on first post corner in w2. Peterhouse crabbed and were bumped and stuck, with LMBC close behind. No crews were able to get by.

Martin, if you actually made it from Bishops Hostel to the lock in 14 minutes you must have averaged about 19mph, good going!

Yes, I timed it, was pretty pleased! The new towpath cuts the journey time substantially!
