1st men's VIII, Academic (Medium)

2nd MA, 27th Acad, 104th overall
Time: 18:47
With four overtakes, two sets of blade clashes and one crab we stormed across the finish line with our best performance since 2009.

Whether it was "our crab" or Emile's crab is still up for debate.

This race is certainly a unique beast. I'm not sure which was worse: the two hours spent freezing our asses off at marshaling, the 19 minutes of pain, or the painfully slow row home against wind and tide.

Nonetheless a great day out and a result we can be pleased with. Still a long way to go.

Chiswick to Barnes = Ohh this is nice we're going soo fast
Barnes to Eyot = ohh this goes on for longer than I thought
Eyot to Hammersmith = row well row well Bomber is watching panic about my technique
Hammersmith to Fulham FC = Just put the blade in
Fulham to the end = arrrrrgggggghhhh agggonyyyyyy

The way back home was interesting. I don't think I've ever had a higher rate of cramps in my life and they were all really bad ones
