Nothing beats killing yourself over 2k, freezing your ass off, killing yourself over another 2k, and then having to wait 24 hours for City to finally declare it a draw because they'd already handed pots to the 2nd place (by one second) crew
Isaac was down and out (illness again) so we had Scott in as a replacement. (Thankfully M2 weren't racing today.)
We had a decent first leg but undercooked it slightly and had a wobble in the wash on the Reach. The second leg was tackled with some better mentality but our technique isn't yet where we could keep the speed going.
Not a bad result in the end (first in band two by 1 second and third college VIII). We beat Maggie's first VIII for the first time in quite a while too. We know what we need to do and are going to make big strides ahead of Newnham Head.
