Excitement was high for our first ever race for FaT. After a very long delay, and thus watching our novice women claw back to 2nd in their epic heat, it was showtime. Into the sauna we went, no warm up, just vibes and a hope not to tear something pulling 500W off the start. Crew order set, and we were off. 13 minutes of big watts, a broken foot strap, and some awkward changeovers later and we had come 5th in a strong heat, headed by M*ggie. A fun first race for the club, and more to come this term! Fortunately none of our crew risked Queen's brunch. (Harry Glyn)
