Lost to St Catz

I knew going in that I was the underdog for this race - my opponents time from the previous day was posted and was squarely in the “that would be an insane result if I can get close to that time”
My plan therefore was to throw the kitchen sink at Emily in the first 500 and hope she panicked and then either crabbed or crashed.
This plan was executed, but Emily wasn’t phased and then as soon as I blew up she just rowed away from me.
Final result was 9:47 which I was very happy with as it was faster splits than the 1600m I did a couple of weeks ago over a longer course.
