The winter edition of the classic Head-To-Head race. Go from Railway Bridge to the A14, spin, and then come back again. Add your two times together for the final result.

Robinson Head

A timed head race from bridge to bridge. Revived after a five year hiatus.
The last timed head race on the Cam before Lents - and a useful form guide with many college boats competing.

Winter League, 2nd leg
Sun 16th February
A timed head race on the Cam, primarily for Town crews.
The Winter League is a series of races for town clubs; college crews seldom enter in great numbers.

5k Head race in Norwich.
A fun day out off Cam.

Lent Bumps Getting-on Race

The 2000m qualifying race for the Lent Bumps
The Lent Bumps are the focus of the term for college rowing, but only those boats finishing sufficiently high in last year's races are automatically entered. All other crews must compete for the remaining places available.

The famous Cambridge University Bumps on the River Cam
The focus of the year so far. The Lent Bumps are smaller and less prestigious than the May Bumps, but nevertheless involve 60 men's and 60 women's crews.

4th men's VIII (4th men's VIIIs): Beat Jesus IV by 1.25 lengths in the final

2nd Trinity Challenge Sculls
Tue 18th March
A timed sculling race for singles, doubles and pairs over a course from Little Bridge to Peter's Posts, run by First and Third.
This is an historic event, but recently has been run continuously since only 1999. The event is for single sculls, both shell and clinker, as well as double sculls. In 2010 pairs were invited to enter for the first time.

Head of the River Race
Sat 22nd March
A huge head race on the Tideway (tidal river Thames) over the University Boat Race course
The largest annual VIIIs head race in the country, attracting most rowing clubs and many University and College crews. The course is 4 1/4 miles, from Mortlake to Putney.

1st men's VIII (Academic (Medium)): 6th in Academic (M), 136th Overall
2nd men's VIII (Academic (Medium)): 31st in Academic (M), 257th Overall
