Of the 9 who raced in the equivalent of this boat at Autumn Head, only 1 was left standing, so this was always going to be a tough race. That being said, the boys pulled out their best row of the term and should be very proud of the result. A true pleasure to cox and thank you for having me along for the ride! (Lily Kearney)

Excellent coxing from Alex. Overall we did very well, but one could tell that we had already raced a
very long race before. It was nonetheless a very enjoyable race. I only wished we did not have to
wait so long before rowing back. (Anne Schreuder)
Alex's best coxing by far. What he got out of us in this race was incredible.

The VIII+ had taken it out of us, leading to another disappointing result. We raced extremely hard and rowed well, but it just wasn't moving as quickly as the top 3. I genuinely believe we would have won, or at the very least pressed Newnham hard, had we only raced the IV+. It is what it is; you cannot race bumps in an IV after all.
(Totally didn't blow up)
