2nd men's VIII, College VIIIs

2nd of College Crews 3rd overall
Time: 5:41
Well who knew there were 8 furlongs in a mile before today? All I can say is thank god there weren't any more. Not bad for a scratch crew (apart from the boat speed and the catches and not holding the finishes in and the lack of seperation and lack of core and ........ ) (Martin Y)
Beaten by Jesus (presumably 1st or 1st/2nd VIII) who got 5:22 after predicting 4:50.

2nd of College crews
Time: 6:36
Not too bad. Should have held it together a bit better in the middle part, but it wasn't a disaster. Nice to round off training camp with a race and some free drinks! (Erica)
Bit wobbly. But not as wobbly as my cycle back.

Maybe drinking at 11am after racing wasn't the best time to test my ale tolerance. (Lyns)

good row :) and we got a free drink out of it - not bad for a morning's work! (Kristina)
Oh man! Another race we've "won" and not got a pot for. And who knew that a mile race could feel so good? Definately agree that rounding off the row with sausages was an awesome plan. They should sell them in the lard cupboard... (Charley)
