Bedford Small Boats Head
Sun 15th April
A 2000m head race on the Ouse in Bedford.
One of many heads in Bedford through the year, but not normally entered by Colleges as it normally falls out of term time.

Radegund Mile Head Race
Sun 22nd April
Head race from the Plough to Two Tees boat shed organised by the St. Radegund Boat Club.
A minor headrace right at the start of term.

Maiden Sculls
Mon 23rd - Wed 25th April
500m side by side race in singles for people who have not entered a sculling race before.

Women's Championship Sculls
Mon 23rd - Wed 25th April
The women's 2000m knock-out regatta in the 'chasing' format for single sculls.

Fairbairn Junior Sculls
Mon 23rd - Wed 25th April
A 2000m knock-out regatta in the 'chasing' format for single sculls

Magdalene Silver Pairs
Mon 23rd - Wed 25th April
A 2000m knock-out regatta for coxless pairs in the chasing format.
The Magdalene Silver Pairs is the more prestigious of the two pairs events.

Foster Fairbairn Pairs
Mon 23rd - Wed 25th April
A 2000m knock-out regatta for coxless pairs as part of the Small Boats Regatta - raced in the 'chasing' format (boats starting 100 yards apart) from the posts before the motorway bridge to those by the pink house in the Reach.
The small boats races generally attract only a small number of entries - and by regularly entering crews we have had many successes in recent years.

Lowe Double Sculls
Mon 23rd - Wed 25th April
Held over the 2km course from Little Bridge to the posts downstream of the railway bridge. Part of the small boats regatta. Open to mens, womens and mixed crews.

Colquhouns
Tue 24th April
2km sculling race run by LMBC open to anyone in the university.
The premier university sculling event.

Head of the Cam
Sat 5th May
A timed headrace on the Cam for college and town crews
Useful early term race practice and the first hint of form for the May Bumps.

FaT vs. BPBC Golf Challenge
Sun 6th May
A golf match held at Cambridge Lakes pitch & putt, between Black Prince and First & Third.
The third annual BPBC vs. FaT golf match - past versus current club members. The format is matchplay rounds of fourballs, foursomes and singles, with each match won counting as a point for the team total.

FaT vs. BPBC Golf Challenge (Womens' and Adaptive)
Sun 6th May
A golf match held at Cambridge Lakes pitch & putt, between the womens' and adaptive teams of Black Prince and First & Third.
The first annual BPBC vs. FaT slow motion golf match - past versus current club members. Womens' fourballs and adaptive singles.

BUSA Regatta
Mon 7th May
A knock-out regatta in Nottingham for University Crews
A few of the better college crews occasionally enter this event, racing as "Cambridge University (name of College)". For other universities, this is one of the most important events of the year, as the regatta is a good opportunity to do side-by-side racing on a multi-lane 2K rowing lake.

LMBC erg champs
Sat 12th May
4000m on the erg in a relay team of 8.
A Queens' Ergs-a-like event, but for senior rowers. Significantly fewer entries than Queens' Ergs, since senior rowers know considerably more about how painful 500m on the erg can be. Raced over 4000m in teams of 8, changeover technique can be crucial since the clock is left running between team members.

Poplar Regatta
Sun 13th May
A 2000m 6 lane regatta at the Royal Albert Dock in London
Few college clubs make the effort to travel away from the Cam during the last few weeks of exam revision, but for those that do Poplar is a rare opportunity to enjoy multi-lane racing.

Cambridge Head-2-Head

A timed headrace in two parts, length 2x2600m
Early term race practice for many college crews.

City Sprints
Sun 13th May
Fun 400m regatta format sprint in front of the boathouses. Started from stakeboats just before Elizabeth way.
Half a pint of beer for each entrant. Who can say fairer than that?

Champion of the Thames Eights Head
Sun 20th May
A Head race for eights from the Plough Pub to the Penny Ferry.
A fun head race with prizes for best bumps start, best line round Ditton - as well as for finish position.

Twickenham Regatta

A side by side knock out regatta along the reach over 1000m
A fun summer regatta for college VIIIs. Unfortunately not all that many crews are able to enter, though, because of exam pressures!

A Two-Day Mountain Competition for Pairs with Overnight Campsite

May Bumps
Wed 13th - Sat 16th June
The famous Cambridge University May Bumps on the River Cam
The highlight of the college rowing calendar involving a total of over 1500 students - with 81 competitors from Trinity

Marlow Regatta
Sat 23rd June
A knock out multilane regatta over 2000m on the Dorney rowing lake.
An important event for crews competing in Henley.
