Cambridge Head-2-Head
Sat 26th January
A timed headrace in two parts, length 2x2600m
Beginning of term race practice for many college crews. Unfortunately, very stormy weather during some divisions forced some women's crews to scratch, including our 2nd women. Two men's squad crews and the women's 1st VIII rowed, as well as BPBC.
Winter League, 1st leg
Sun 27th January
A timed head race on the Cam, primarily for Town crews.
The Winter League is a series of races for town clubs; college crews seldom enter in great numbers, especially with this, the first leg, being the day following the Head to Head this year. Two First and Third men's crews rowed.

Newnham Short Course
Sat 2nd February
A timed head race from the Little Bridge to the Railings (approx 1600m)
With many 1st and some 2nd VIIIs due to race the (cancelled) Head of the Nene at Peterborough, the majority of crews entering are lower boats. Our men's 3rd and 4th VIIIs and women's 2nd VIII compete.
Robinson Head

A timed head race over 2200 - from Little Bridge to Peter's Posts
An event for college crews, usually of relatively minor importance. Our women's crews and the men's 4th VIII rowed this year.
Pembroke Regatta
Sat 16th February
A side-by-side knock out regatta on the reach, over 1100m
An event for college crews run in 3 divisions. For many crews, the last race practice before the bumps, and a popular event.
Lent Bumps Getting-on Race
Fri 22nd February
The 2000m qualifying race for the Lent Bumps
The Lent Bumps are the focus of the term for college rowing, but only those boats finishing higher than 10th from the bottom of last year's races are automatically entered. All other crews must compete for the 10 places available.
Cuppers Karting
Mon 25th February
A 2 1/2 hour inter-college Go-Karting endurance race at the Daytona karting track, Milton Keynes.
Not rowing, exactly, but First and Third wins the title for Trinity nevertheless!!
Lent Bumps
Thu 28th February - Mon 4th March
The famous Cambridge University Bumps on the River Cam
The focus of the year so far. The Lent Bumps are smaller and less prestigious than the May Bumps, but nevertheless involve 69 men's and 52 women's crews.
2nd Trinity Challenge Sculls
Tue 12th March
A timed single sculling race over a course from Little Bridge to Peter's Posts, run by First and Third.
This is an historic event, but recently has been run since only 1999. It is aimed at college scullers of all standards, even featuring a comedy 'clinker sculls' class.
Head of the River Race
Sat 23rd March
A huge head race down-river on the Tideway (tidal river Thames) over the University Boat Race course
The largest annual VIIIs head race in the country, attracting most rowing clubs and many University and College crews.
