Head of the Cam
Sat 24th April
A timed headrace on the Cam for college and town crews
An early chance to size up the opposition for the Mays.

BUSA Regatta
Sat 1st May
A knock-out regatta in Nottingham for University Crews
As the current Head of the Lents, 1st & 3rd men were invited to represent Cambridge University in this event, which for other universities is one of the most important of the year.

Mixed 1st/2nd VIII (2nd VIIIs): Won a Bronze Medal in the final

Nottingham City Regatta
Sat 8th May
A high profile 2000m multilane regatta at the National Watersports centre in Nottingham
Four or five college boatclubs generally travel to Nottingham to experience multilane racing. Racing is held on two separate days; we sent the 2nd VIII to represent 1st & 3rd.

2nd men's VIII: Won in the 1st round and Event called off due to high winds in the 2nd round

Bedford Regatta
Sat 15th May
A knock out side by side regatta over 1200m
A large event attracting many college, university and club crews from Oxford, Cambridge and beyond.

1st men's VIII (College VIIIs): Won when Emma II scratched in the 1st round and Lost to Jesus (3 feet) in the 2nd round
2nd men's VIII (College VIIIs): Raced 3 rounds: Lost to Fitzwilliam in the plate 2nd round

Cam Sprints
Sun 16th May
A fun 400m sprint regatta held by the boathouses
If the sun is shining the Cam sprints can be a fun day by the river, with short exciting races.

1st VIII Cam Sprints IV: Beat Star Club in the final
2nd men's VIII, dewire for remoundos: Beat Corpus Christi in the 1st round and Lost to Southampton in the 2nd round

Cambridge 99's Regatta
Sat 29th May
A side by side knock out regatta along the reach over 1000m
A fun summer regatta for college VIIIs. Quite a few usually enter considering nearly everyone has exams!

1st men's VIII (1st division): Raced 3 rounds: Beat Fitzwilliam in the final
2nd men's VIII (2nd division): Raced 3 rounds: Beat Pembroke II in the plate final
4th men's VIII (4th division): Beat Downing IV (easily) in the semi finals and Beat Jesus IV (easily) in the final

May Bumps Getting-on Race
Fri 4th June
The 2000m qualifying race for the May Bumps
Entries in the bumps without positions in the finishing order of the May bumps last year, and up to 10 crews at the bottom of the last divisions, have to compete over a head race to "get on" to the bumps.

The famous Cambridge University May Bumps on the River Cam
The highlight of the college rowing calendar involving a total of over 1500 students - 100 at Trinity.

Henley Royal Regatta
Wed 30th June - Sun 4th July
The historic, famous and prestigious international regatta for men's crews on the River Thames in Oxfordshire
College crews usually enter the 'Temple Cup' - a competition for student VIIIs. Although nowadays it is most unlikely that a College will win an event, clubs aspire to race and perhaps win a round or two past the famous enclosures. The top 2 or 3 Mays crews are often invited to attend, whilst others must earn a place in the qualifying race.
